More vines

Post by Fire at Will » April 8th, 2021, 4:38 pm

After my failure to make hardly any of the terrain I intended last year I thought I had better start with my long planned extra vines.

I made three according to my original design copied from a ZTT original (on the left) but changed over to using plant prunings for the rest.

The difference is more apparent in the work in progress picture, the JTT copies use thin twisted copper wire.

The originals were made for the Sicily big game back in 2015 (link below) and these double the amount I have.

Very Nice, and a good reminder that I brought some items to make more myself, but have forgotten which draw, box, cupboard such items are stored in, time for a game of hunt ya bits.

You'd think that Crete was in the wind.

Excellent work Will, what did you use for the bases? I am sure you could make some Cretan vines just say the Vineyard had a poor year ;-) Rob

The bases are the wider lolly sticks 15cm by 1.8cm I just bought another batch of nearly 200. They are great for basing walls, hedges, etc. Occasionally you get one that warps but I usually discard it for another.

These walls were based on the same bases
